The Two FBIs: The Bravery and Betrayal I Saw in My Time at the Bureau

Two of Nicole Parker’s colleagues were murdered while executing a search warrant on a dangerous suspect with no SWAT support, while the FBI sent SWAT for those charged with January 6 misdemeanors. Special Agent Parker witnessed an internal war between what she calls the two FBIs—“FBI 1” and “FBI 2.” FBI 1 was filled with honest, unbiased employees dedicated to keeping Americans safe, while FBI 2 used law enforcement power to push political and social agendas. Lowered hiring standards, unequal law enforcement, and aggressive targeting of perceived political or social enemies became widespread. Through her life story, Parker chronicles how she left finance to serve her country, relying on her faith as she faced evil daily while investigating horrific crimes. As FBI 2 seemed to gain the upper hand, Parker resolved not to let it win the war. After more than a dozen years, she left the Bureau, believing drastic changes are needed to restore the FBI’s greatness and public trust. Filled with electrifying crime takedowns, tragic investigations, and shocking revelations about the administrative state, The Two FBIs offers a powerful look at what it takes to keep Americans secure—and how real the attempts are to cripple those who protect them.
